A carefree, young woman has experienced all the mundane happenings and practises of life, but one. This seemingly perfect girl, Abbiona, is introduced to romance and here she sees herself challenged. Jane is the daughter of former NCIS director Jenny Shepard. Hardly anyone knows that she exists or who her mother is. She lost her mother very young and when she was old enough for school she was shipped off to boarding school. She knew her mother meant well but she wished she wasn't at boarding school. Jane is currently dating Troy who is a naval officer who she thinks was involved with a another naval officers murder. She doesn't know what to do, she thought about going to the police but Troy would be furious and his temper is not something to mess with. She remembers that her mom would always talk about Gibbs and how good he is at his job so she goes and asks for his help. One thing she doesn't know is that Gibbs is actually her father.

When Gibbs met Jane part 2 It's been a while since the reveal of Jane being Gibbs daughter and Jane having to come to Gibbs to help solve a murder. They had a great time in Paris and Jane wished her mom was there to experience. Once they get back it's back to the same routine with work and Jane finding a new place to live. Gibbs was overprotective of Jane and while she understood she wished he didn't. Being associated with Gibbs can cause danger because she knew what happened to her mom. She was willing to not think about it because she was part of a family again. Things were going great for a while then it wasn't.
