Silk-Seduction
"Are you done now?" she asked, smirking, eyes fixed on the dagger unimpressed, unafraid.
Not even a flicker of fear.
I pulled the blade back and drove it into her shoulder again.
No flinch. No gasp. Just that awful, knowing stillness.
A snarl tore from my throat-I shoved her down, straddling her body, and stabbed again.
And again.
And again.
My breath turned ragged.
My hands shook.
Blood warmed my fingers-hers, not mine slick, crimson, impossible to ignore.
The Queen of Vampires lay beneath me, perfectly still, staring up with pale red eyes that had once made armies kneel.
