This is after Rengoku passed final selection. His father (in my au) is nice to him. After Rengoku got his sword and found out what breathing style he uses, he went on many missions before meeting Tengen again. Tengen made friends with him at final selection. When they saw eachother for the second time in 5 months they were really happy to see eachother. They caught eachother up on some things and found out more about each other. After a while Rengoku started to have feelings for Tengen.
