Maybe accepting herself wasn't the biggest problem, maybe the fear of not being accepted by others is what held her back from accepting herself. On her journey to find herself, she finds anger and madness, but she finds lust and curiosity above all. Accepting yourself is one of the hardest things in life, being who you are should never hold you back from living life to the fullest. People who don't accept you for you, they are no people. There is pain in this world, especially when you are a woman, lesbian, and radical feminist. When you are hiding in plain site, in the middle of a proper Christian church situated in a small, conservative town, there are masks you have to wear that scald your skin. These are my poems on the subject. They tell my struggles, and I hope other girls like me can find themselves in these words.
