Eleven year old Leslie Rash thinks it's unfortunate enough that she's being sent off to summer camp for the summer after pulling a harsh stunt on her nemesis, Suzy Makin, in which she felt that Suzy deserved.
But what even awaits her at the new summer camp is even worse, as it seems that Camp Timanous is a camp for boys! And ONLY boys! But the worse part for Leslie isn't that her parents sent her there on purpose, or that they sent her there not even because of her punishment but because they had booked an all summer cruise for themselves, but that there was a Makin in that camp and Leslie HATED the Makins.
To her surprise, Suzy Makin, as she learns, isn't even the worse member of the family. And it turns out to be no other than Suzy's stepbrother Joshua, the last person Leslie thought would ever get on her last nerve, considering Josh and Suzy didn't share the same blood. So Leslie rivals against Josh and a majority of the other campers, who constantly feel the need to show off because there's a girl around. But after discovering a few shocking things about the additional member of her own, Leslie can't seem to place her mind together. And when things start to get really uncomfortable, there's only one person Leslie can turn to for protection whether she likes it or not, because she knows he'll always be there.
Like a big brother.
