Lily has no last name she has been thrust into foster homes since her adoptive parents died, nobody knows her birthday, her real last name, who here real parents are and why she never got to meet them. One day Lin finds Lily beaten up on the sidewalk outside the theatre and decides she needs his help. Lily doesn't talk to them or anybody but she doesn't know sign language she just refuses to communicate most the time. Lily is a percussionist but nobody knows that until Lily's school calls Lin about her concert.
