Elstarkra was the daughter of inspector jevert. He had raised her on his own. What happens if elstarkra joined the barricade boys. Her friends at the barricade needed her help and she was happy to help them. No matter what her fathers thoughts on the matter was. Elstarkra was always a wide eyed child. She knew the law like the back of her had, but that didn't mean she couldn't get into childish antics. A café stood in a street, she'd never seen it before her eyes but in her dreams it always appeared. She never told her father, with him being an inspector he had a reputation to uphold. A short story about Grantaire and Enjolras. Grantaire had never been very confident or outgoing, and lately his life has been kind of rough. His parents died and gave all their money to his sister, and he lost his job in the matter of a week. So it was not uncommon for him to be hanging around a bar trying to drink away his problems. At first his drinking wasn't an issue, but soon his life loomed over him like an old rotting willow tree. Threatening to topple at any second and persistently pushing bottle after bottle into his hand.

Enjolras knows it's the end of the line when his friends have all been killed and he alone remains, standing defiant against the National Guard. He was prepared to die for his friends and countrymen. Of course, he was joined by Grantaire in his last moments, holding his hand as they were both shot. Enjolras knew he was dead. That was, until he wakes up in a bed that is not his, in a room that is not his, and in a time period that is definitely not his. His old friends are alive and well, but Enjolras seems to be the only one who remembers their failed revolution. Or: Enjolras is shot at the barricades on that day in 1832, but wakes up in the future with no memorizes of a life there.

NOTE: This is based on the Yuyoyuppe song "Leia". It's an AU for Les Mis I made. The cover art was drawn by BeaTheCat. Grantaire meets up with Enjolras to paint him a portrait. But what happens when one-sided love drives you to fall in love with... a painting?
