It's a gorgeous 2019 summer, and to celebrate a very special auror's birthday, everyone is rounded up and whisked away to a camping site for a few days. Between mayhem, mishaps and midnight snacks, the six get up to plenty of chaotic activities... and throughout it all, Newt and Tina find themselves falling madly in love. This book is a collaboration fanfic between Cateye992 and fangirling_puff, set in a modern alternate universe. Credit to my IRL friend, Ana, for the cover art.

Newt Scamander is a shy Hufflepuff who has a love for magical creatures and doesn't hide it. The two get off at a bad start, but soon they make amends. But, what happens when Newt is expelled from Hogwarts? What happens to Anastasia, his best friend? And what happens when they meet again, when some of his creatures were let loose? Would old feelings come up to the surface, or will Anastasia distance herself from him again, in fear of getting left? Whereas all the other students are making fun about him, Leta and Newton believe him and will try to find Edmund's parents. But, truth could hide another truth and it can be an horror...

This story is a continuation after "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them", inspired by "Crimes of Grindelwald." (sorry I suck at descriptions.)

A fantastic beasts story, mostly about relationships. It is about the breaking of one's heart and about slowly suffering all alone. But it is also about healing and being strong. There is always a little light in the darkness. A little hope in the darkest times.

{Leta/Newt} He thinks that Leta's like an Acromantula. The others run away from her because she frightens them, because she's ready to bite them at the slightest touch, at the slightest word. But if you take care of her, caress her, and feed her, and talk to her, and show her that to you she's not a monster at all, that she can trust you, because you hatched her egg and you would do it a hundred more times, then she will recognize you in a crowd, even if you belong to a different species from her, she will wrap you in her canvas and protect you from everything, even from her fellows. Even from herself. Some would say that Newt has a twisted way of expressing love, and that he's attracted to the wrong things. Maybe.
