Zoey could never have imagined herself becoming solely responsible for the lives of Lady Aphmau's sons, but sometimes the world works in ways you least expect it to; and in ways you most fear. Or: a closer look on the fifteen years Levin and Malachi spent with Zoey. I've always had sort of an idea of what I thought it was like, and I wanted to really explore all the possibilities in this short fic. a rewrite of Zane's daughter because my writing sucked then ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ in O'khasis lived a little girl, her father the high priest and second son of the lord, she had no clue what atrocities her doting father had committed. She never saw how horrible he was, she only saw a caring man that loved her dearly and gave her anything she asked for.

*Read The Lost Princess of Scaleswind first, this is the sequel* Levin knows his mother, Lord Aphmau, and father, Lord Garroth, would never force Levin to get married. Considering their past. But the same cannot be said for the other residents of Phoenix Drop. But they are at war with Dekoboko-no-ishi village. (That means Cold Stone in Japanese) Even Levins brother Malachi encourages him to get married to their oldest princess, Princess Rin (Rin in Japanese means born at night), to resolve the war. Levin is fearful that his parents will be forced to send him into marriage with someone he doesn't love by the towns folk. He decides to run away. He wants to leave his past but it threats to consume him. At the new village, his past is all he can think about. Not guarding the place, which is his job.

Levi's lover deals with many thoughts in the early morning, after they had both finally let down their guards and let someone in. Thoughts of him, their relationship, love, life, regret, and what the world needs, demands, & what it will take. (This can be read as an x reader as an original character, OR whoever you ship with Levi. I intended this to be a part in a longer fanfiction that would have chapters and such, so it was originally written for an oc or x reader (I hadn't decided which) but I never can motivate myself to write, and I wasn't sure anyone would be interested.
