You had been there ever since he joined, being a trusted friend of Erwin for quite a long time. He treated you like everyone else, cold and emotionless compared to your bright persona yet you had shown him nothing but kindness despite the sarcasm that would often seep into your conversations with him. Life in the 1930's was good for Levi , he had his friends, his job, his school, and life in New York was great. Much to Levi's surprise Mikasa Ackerman walks into his life and turns it upside down, showing him how his life wasn't as exciting as he had originally thought, at least not without her. WWII strikes and Levi must head off to war, leaving Mikasa behind to wait in New York City. Fast forward to 1941, Pearl Harbour has been attacked and all Japanese people in the USA are sent to internment camps. Levi returns back home to find that Mikasa is nowhere to be found. With the help of Eren Jaeger and a tag along Armin Arlert, Levi heads off to find the girl that changed New York City for him. ALSO NOTE THAT YES KENNY'S LAST NAME IS CHANGED TO RIVAILLE IN THIS FANFIC BUT THAT IS JUST TO MAKE SENSE BETWEEN THE DISTINCTION OF THE TWO FAMILIES, MIKASA'S AND LEVI'S

Eren Jaeger, a Divorced single father of his three year old son, Hunter. Eren is a busy man, works full time trying to support his young son. While battling the new challenge of being both a mother and father all at once while still trying to be financially stable to care for his young one. Levi Ackerman, also a Divorced single father but to his six year old son, Viktor. Levi is more financially stable and able to be at home more and spend time with his own son. He's not perfect though, he struggles with insecurity problems of trying to be a good enough parent to Viktor. He became a father unwillingly and constantly thinking he's ruining his sons childhood and worried he's going through the wrong path. Eren and Levi are neighbors. Levi has no problem with babysitting Hunter while Eren is off at work most hours of the day.
