Lorelai comes home from a party to later see strangers in the house trying to kill her parents. She gets in the mix of things and ends up killing all who harmed her family that night and her using magic she didn't know she even had. her father called the cops and now she's in a mental institution where they drug her up thinking she's crazy. While there, she meets a girl named Amelia who also seems to have magic just like her. They end up becoming close friends, and one might even say bestfriends. Amelia gets Lorelai off the meds they give her because they found out it stopped them from being able to concentrate and do magic. Lorelai, being off the medication, realizes that she should practice her powers so she can learn to control them and never do what she did a year ago again. Amelia also practices her powers, but when doing so, she overhears in the hallway the doctors talking about their experiments on the patience. She tells Amelia, and they both try to figure a way out of the building. Things get tricky, though, because the next patients on their list are Lorelai and Amelia.

I just want to go about my life. I've been trying to ignore the strange dreams and relentless headaches that seem to plague me each day, but when unusual things started happening all around me I was forced to come to terms with the possibility that perhaps my dreams are more than just dreams. What are the strange voices? Who do they belong too? Who is the strange woman calling out to me? I guess it's time I found out. This is an ongoing collaborative project with Julie Smithstone. An anthology made for practicing my writing and expanding my universe (meaning there are connections between each story, even though some are subtle.) if your cup of tea is magic, magic systems, short stories, you might get into it. English is my second language, my writing experience is basically zero and I'm probably not gonna write consistently at first. We'll see. I can also tell you that I created a story, a universe and during the process of writing its history, I fell in love with some characters and created backstories better than I had to my intended main character at the time. I changed it all and now I consider my story to be about this universe instead. if you can put up with my new author blunders, please correct me as soon as possible, I'll try to revise thoroughly instead of keeping it like I wrote at first.
