People in your village called you a funny girl, and you were different from everyone else in the village. Your sister was a scientist and inventor, so of course being her sister would make people think you're weird like her. A man in the village, Reiner, has been trying to get you to marry him for quite some time, but you've showed him multiple times you're not interested. You've never really had anyone that understands you, and never really had a friend. All you've wanted was for someone to talk to about topics you wanted to talk about. You'll finally get it when your sister goes to a convention and her horse comes back home without her and is being held captive by a horrible Beast.
