Gillean had just lost his best friend and is feeling utterly miserable and lonely. Being smart doesn't fend off loneliness. If nothing having the combination of smarts AND the lack of forward planning got him into the state he currently was in - rejection and the feeling of being a failure. Cue in the sounds of angelic trumpets. RaRa, his best friend, returns to "save the day". Well. What she thinks of as saving the day that is. Corny ideals, lame ideas. The two get into one last patch of trouble together as they sneak back into RaRa's home. Just what kind of family secrets has RaRa been keeping from Gill. In blood and thunder, Gill finds out. Please read the content warnings (there may be spoilers within though) if you have triggers. Also there is a slight mention of LGBTQ+, so please don't read this short story if even a short mention bothers you. ======================= My first short story (It's short - 5 chapters, 10,000 word-ish kinda short! And also completed *self pats* that I will be releasing in mini chapters (of 500-800 words each) on Fridays and Saturdays.). Happy to hear actionable and constructive criticisms on how I can improve, but please don't be too harsh okay? :) I know it's not perfect. But hey, we all have to start somewhere.

Although confused, the queen smiled, two wonderful she-cats to carry her legacy. "And a tom..." The sympathy on the medicine cat's face grew, though not for the queen, but for the poor tom that was about to be faced with a world of unkindness and cruelty... ========= Special People:: I'd like to thanks @WarriorFever for giving me this idea and allowing me to use it. Notes:: I'd like to state now, that I believe in equality for everyone, the way toms are treated are simply used for the plot of the story. I DO NOT believe anyone should actually be treated this way. Warnings:: Obviously mistreatment of toms, many cruel insults, very serious topics (mostly consisiting of problems with appearance and who the main character is), and hints and/or mentions of some lgbt+ relatinships and etc. [I do not own any of the pictures used for the cover, I simply found them off of most likely Google]

A hero and villain from opposite sides of the same coin meet. Both shrouded in their own forms of deceit, betrayed and hurt they must find a way to cohabit. What if that's easier done than said? What if a fate so powerful pulls them into a web of lies? What if, the hero happens to be a moth and is only being sucked into a vortex of flames. Or, the villain happens to be a butterfly, guided to its own brutal demise. Together these two will have to find a way to survive, and maybe even flourish. Whether they stay together or not, only time can tell. Hopefully, the gods will watch over their poor hearts and guide them till Dusk arrives. Cover made from Canva.
