A personal experience of mine when I worked as a lifeguard.

Bella Jameson works as a lifeguard at a fancy country club her father's college friend owns. Ever since she was little, the Kingsley's have treated her like family, and they know she's content to work alone all summer while she's away from college. But when Walt, the owner of Kingsley's Ranch--and her boss--introduces her to cocky, rude, and completely arrogant James, she hates him from the moment they meet. And she doesn't try to hide her unhappiness when Walt Kingsley introduces him as her co-worker. Bella doesn't think she can survive without drowning beneath the mockery, insults and hate the two share. But worse yet, she doesn't know if she can get through the summer without going under.

This is is a true story. I lived through this almost two years ago, and the past is still resurfacing every once in a while. Writing down my thoughts, my feelings and my story make it easier for me to process this whole debacle from a more "Outside point of view". This was a pivotal time in my life, and in the end brought me maturity and resilience, traits for which I am thankful for everyday. It's still hard for me now, as a lifeguard myself, to overcome people's expectations of me when then actually meet me. I think this acts as long overdue closure for me.
