One of our friends has one heck of an interesting life. WHY NOT WRITE A BOOK!

Most little girls dream of what their wedding will be like. They dream of the flowers, lace, and colors. I always dreamed of life after. I dreamed of waking up every morning beside my best friend, of grocery shopping together, of getting off work and coming home to fix dinner, looking my first baby in the eyes and whispering "I love you", picking up the kids from school, fixing scraped knees, playing in the snow, cheering them on at sporting events, and seeing them graduate high school and maybe college. This is how my dream begins.

Any characters that are named will have their names changed to protect their identity, but otherwise everything written will be true. The title for the chapter will include my age at the time of the event. Truce is a 13 year old girl who likes to twist the facts of every situation. Read her hilarious journal entries, which are incredibly specific and stupid. I'm just having fun here, don't judge. Everything in this book is incredibly ironic. You know that book you read because you have nothing better to do(or you do, you're just procrastinating)? This is that book. Have fun!! My life was perfect: I had a boyfriend who loved me, parents who would do anything for me and friends who cared for me. I had everything and all I wanted was for my life to continue the way it was going. So, needless to say, when I woke up on my 18th birthday, I never once thought that that was the day my life would begin to fall apart.

This poem captures a real and chaotic Sunday morning that spiraled from peaceful oatmeal to a full emotional meltdown, followed by church parking lot drama, a barking emotional-support dog, a scarecrow-looking staff member demanding a pointless car move, and the panic-triggering boss at the center of it all. Life's made meaningful when giving up on it is not an option. Each life on this earth gets up to its own battle every morning. What makes it worth the fight is that at the end of the day, you know you've conquered what was once potent enough to kill you. Instead of creating a big fuss over nothing, it's better to respect those souls who face the struggle with a smile on their face everyday. Sometimes, you will have to lose the battle to win the war.
