It's October 11th, 2013, and 19 year-old Maxine Caulfield is forced to make the hardest decision of her life: Sacrifice her best friend (and soulmate) Chloe Price, or sacrifice her hometown of Arcadia Bay. After a daunting few minutes of hearing desperate pleas from her one blue-haired childhood best friend turned lover, she saves the town and all of it's people live never knowing their alternate fate. Max moves on from her life; she is thrown back into the turbulence which is Blackwell Academy and the memory of that fateful day becomes a black cloud hanging over her head. Nobody can know about this. But when her newfound reality flips it's head and Max begins to frequently notice someone painfully familiar in the shadows of her life, she stops making excuses. Max has always been confused about her feelings for Chloe. Even when they were younger, Max always felt a connection to her that was stronger than just a friendship. But as they grew up and Max moved away from Arcadia Bay, leaving Chloe alone, they started to drift apart. Max always wanted to be there for Chloe but it never came across that way to Chloe. Chloe thought she was abandoned and Max's feelings were still in a stir. Years later when Max came back, they started bonding again. Max was starting to realize how much she really loved Chloe. No one could match up to how Chloe made her feel. The more time they spent together, the more in love Max felt towards her. It was amazing. But sometimes... you just can't fix time.
