The real beginning of your life is always in high school. It's full of heartbreak, backstabbing, stress and finding yourself along the way. It's everything and nothing like the movies all at the same time. The very beginning of high school, your grade 9 year, is especially hard. Trying to find where you fit in in this new environment, being chanted 'fresh meat at' for the first week as you walk through the hall ways, having the older students find any reason to pick on you. No two students will ever have the same high school experience, it seems as though no one ever wants to get into the details. They'll give you a vague rundown of it, hiding away their secrets in the pockets smoothed over by their words. But this is the story of Adeline Young and her journey through high school, with every nitty gritty detail that people usually avoid.

He's going to be your fathers new lawyer so he'll be around often." My mom replied. Dave turned around and his smile faded away as did mine. "Uhm hello, Dave." I struggled to swallow and shook his huge hand that I had just watched run down his leg in embarrassment. He smiled again, the one I caused no more than an hour or two ago. "I'm Tessa. I prefer Tes though." I smiled at the deja-vu we were both experiencing and let go of his hand. "Since we're going to be spending a lot of time together I thought you should know." "Well, then I prefer Davey. Thought you should know."

"Knowing that he couldn't ever be yours but taking his every memory with you when you fall asleep and when you wake up . .... Wanting to tell him you love him like a broken record every time he laughs because you just know that , that moment is meant to be in the seven wonders . "
