Thank you very much for finding my Splintered fanfiction! Alyssa makes a life-magic vow with Gossamer to choose one person to confess her love to between Jeb and Morpheus. She decides to spend as much time with both, before she has to separate with one. I suck at descriptions. I would like to confess that it may be easy to guess the ending for some people who have heard the song this is based on. So I'm making it a game; guess the song that I'm crossing over with Splintered/Unhinged/Ensnared~ Acknowledgements and Credits A.G. Howard for Splintered and its characters Black Bunny for the song Natalia for the date idea Sydney and Prince Nat for being my beta readers and main motivators <3 My sister, for quoting this at random embarrassing moments Literally everyone on GoodReads, they're a great crowd- go join the fan club! And, of course, you, for reading this~ <3

A man alone. An island that remembers. A light that never stops watching. When Jack accepts a solitary posting as keeper of St. Jude's Folly Lighthouse, he expects peace and isolation. What he finds instead is a descent into madness - a whispering island that hums with ancient hunger, shadows that breathe, and a tower that watches as much as it warns. In the tradition of The Silent Patient and The Haunting of Hill House, Evan Blackwood delivers a masterpiece of psychological and cosmic horror, where sanity erodes as the sea devours the shore. Each chapter peels back layers of human fragility, obsession, and guilt, exposing a terrifying truth: the light doesn't save you - it sees you. The Lighthouse is not just a story - it's an experience. A descent into the mind's darkest chambers, where isolation becomes a mirror, and the reflection stares back with something you no longer recognize as human. Fans of slow-burn horror, Lovecraftian dread, and atmospheric storytelling will find this an unforgettable voyage into the abyss.

The lighthouse keeper, old and solitary, lives trapped in his memories. His beloved departed years ago, and since then, each passing day is accompanied by a silent melancholy. The only thing he has left of her is the habit of watching, through his binoculars, the waves crashing against the rocks and the marine life that sometimes appears-sea lions, seals, orcas. They are never truly alone, but he is. Even so, that solitude does not make him a coward, nor does it completely drown him in sadness, because each of those creatures reminds him, in some way, of his wife. Neither the cold nor the wind can break him. He is an intelligent and skillful man, able to repair anything with his own hands and wit. He longs for sunny days-not for the warmth, but because in the clouds he believes he sees his beloved's face, and in that moment he can imagine that she is still by his side. Thanks to him, to his constancy and vigilance, ships, merchant vessels, and small boats cross those waters safely, always finding their destination. The lighthouse keeper, strong and determined, knows that as long as the light remains shining, she will also remain alive in his memory.
