Ada Reyes promised Windtail that one day when they were old enough, she would choose him as her Skybeast. But now, the time has come-and Windtail is nowhere to be found. The only clue he left her is a strange wooden token. When Ada discovers her missing sister Nira's journal, she's shocked to find a drawing of a nearly identical token. With her sister's disappearance still a mystery, Ada realizes she needs Windtail more than ever. To search for Nira-and the missing token-she must journey to the surface. But with the Skybeasts vanishing, Ada isn't sure if Windtail will ever return. Windtail was born on the surface, though, not the Sky Isles, and isn't tied to the magic that's taken the other Skybeasts. Ada and her friends, Cielo and Juni, soon suspect the tokens may hold the key to rescuing the Skybeasts-if they can find them all in time.

Cleo is the frost queen, an odd ally for Oro, king of the Sunling lands. But perhaps their friendship makes a kind of sense. This scene takes place after Oro reveals Isla's secret and allies himself with Cleo. (VERY mild spoilers for the end of the book.) Oro just desperately needed some characterization and I wanted to build a bit on the thin scaffolding that Alex gave us. So I, as a character writer, took it on myself to write this little scene.

For the readers who see a fine line between good and evil too clearly. Deathstar. That's the name they gave him. Assassin. Monster. Murderer. But none of them asked what he lost the night his home was burned to the ground. Fifteen years ago, the village of Willowborrow was destroyed and forgotten. He was the only survivor. Now, hiding under a cloak and a name soaked in blood, he's dragged into a game of lies, kings, and revenge. His new assignment? Kill the King. The same King who never sent help. The same King who might have ordered the fire. In a world of rival kingdoms, deadly tournaments, and masks worn too long, Deathstar will have to decide what kind of villain he's willing to become... ...and what kind of boy still lives under the ash. 🗡️ For fans of The Shadows Between Us, Six of Crows, The Cruel Prince, and Lightlark. ⚔️ Enemies. Thieves. Secrets. One kingdom-shaking revenge.

EVERY TEN YEARS, the Fae steal humans for a single reason: the Verdant Trials. Win, and you're granted immortality. Lose, and your soul becomes fuel for the fae realm. 19-year-old noblewoman Odette never asked for this fate. Torn from her gilded cage and thrown into a brutal, magical game, she's forced to fight for her life in a realm ruled by beauty, cruelty, and lies. Her only ally? A scarred, brooding fae from the Dark Court: tasked with training her, tormenting her, and maybe... protecting her. But trusting him could be more dangerous than the Trials themselves. As Odette uncovers the twisted truth behind the games, she faces an impossible choice: win, and become the very monster she fears. Or lose everything trying to burn the system down. Let the Trials begin. ⚠️ High-stakes romance. Deadly fae politics. Found power. Enemies-to-lovers tension. Morally grey choices. And a girl who might just destroy their world before it destroys her.

What if the first four chapter of TikTok book Lightlark was run through a misuse of Google Translate? Inspired by Badly Translation Mods for Video Games. Welcome to the Centenary. At 100 years old, Lightlark Island celebrates its centennial, which will give a gift and invite six to participate. The Inviter knows how to embrace Victory, be it Ruin or a Mindless Angel. Go to the one who offers the ruler the last chance to break the kingdoms cursed for centuries. Every ruler has something to hide. Let the gift of the whole kingdom be the curse of the wicked. To destroy the villains, the rulers must die. Crown Island is the time of the Savages, gifted temptresses intent on killing anyone they fall in love with. They are feared and despised, and on the Isla the triumphant end of centuries of suffering is told. To survive, Crown Island must be deceived, cheated, and betrayed... clearly, Dragon's tea involves everything.
