My attempt at Light Yagami x Reader. I know my chapters are painfully brief but please stick with me. Give me information through comment or message and I will add your character for a chapter or two, maybe the whole story if it suits the story line well. I DO NOT OWN DEATH NOTE OR ITS CHARACTERS.

You're a Kira worshipper. You love Kira. You're obsessed with Kira. And without even being aware of it, you know him. Anyhow, how? How do you know him without being aware of that it's the man that you're obsessed with? One day in 10th grade, someone named "Light Yagami," the smartest high schooler in Japan, was about to tutor you. As he did, you became good friends. Your goal in this story is to meet Kira... Atleast that's what you thought until you actually find out something unexpectedly chocking. Light Yagami who's the same age as you starts to develop feelings. You were friends before the Kira case, before there was any sign of criminals dying constantly.

in which misa amane realizes her worth and breaks up with light yagami. note: i wrote this because i love misa. i think she deserves more. i know she loves light so much but let's give her a little slap on the face and wake her up from her dumbness. i also made light a little more understanding because i believe he atleast has a SLIGHT concern for misa. anyways, thanks for clicking in this story. i'm still learning, don't go hard on me. (y/n) is a twelfth grader who lived her life like any other. She didn't like to stand out much and she tried her best to merge with the background. Just like Light, she sees the death note fall from the sky. Curious, she picks the book but doesn't give it much thought. A few days later, she sees the death god, as a result of her coming in contact with the death note the days before. She promises Light that she wouldn't tell anyone but Light thinks otherwise. Will he kill her or maybe fall for her beauty and quick-witted nature? !! I do not own any of the characters or the fan arts for every page. All belongs to their respective owners and their marvelous talent. !! i only own the story line and the reader's character.

(Y/n) = your name (F/n) = fake name In my stories I typically use female pronouns, but if you're a male or non-binary or anything other than female, you can change the pronouns to whatever you're comfortable with. And of course, I obviously don't own Death Note or any of the characters in this book.

After all Kira investigations are shut down Light Yagami finds another problem. A problem that isn't so easily fixed. An anti Kira cite gained a lot of traction. He wants to find out who it is but he has no clue. Until he meets the strikingly beautiful [name] [last name]. As they both investigate the other it's hard to say how this'll go. They're a knife and a gun, they both deal good damage, but while a knife has disadvantages you cannot underestimate it. Will wits prevail or will love give no winners. That is up to you to find out for yourself. I do own nor claim to own the rights to death note characters or the concept of death note. I am not the writer of death note.

You the reader have to choose where your loyalties lie. Will you stand by your childhood best friend, who is now on the path to becoming the greatest detective in the world? Or will you side with your new best friend, the super genius mass murderer he is investigating? if you wanted to self insert yourself into the plot of deathnote then I definitely think you should read this. mostly the same plot just following your point of view of getting pulled into the mix of everything. Triggers so far: bad grammer, swearing, A/N: Rewriten chapters 1-5 so expect much better writing,(thanks Grammarly) and better understanding of the story. Also expect those chapters to be much shorter than newer chapters since that was my writing style at the time.
