Atleast that's what you thought until you actually find out something unexpectedly chocking. Light Yagami who's the same age as you starts to develop feelings. You were friends before the Kira case, before there was any sign of criminals dying constantly.

You the reader have to choose where your loyalties lie. Will you stand by your childhood best friend, who is now on the path to becoming the greatest detective in the world? Or will you side with your new best friend, the super genius mass murderer he is investigating? if you wanted to self insert yourself into the plot of deathnote then I definitely think you should read this. mostly the same plot just following your point of view of getting pulled into the mix of everything. Triggers so far: bad grammer, swearing, A/N: Rewriten chapters 1-5 so expect much better writing,(thanks Grammarly) and better understanding of the story. Also expect those chapters to be much shorter than newer chapters since that was my writing style at the time.
