Lilah is a girl who always looked at the what if's in life and struggled with seeing herself as she truly is. Her eyes always played tricks on her when she looked into her mirror and she always forgot about the good things that have happened to her and focused on the negative rotten lemons life threw at her. She drowned herself in self hatred to the point where she was on the verge of suicide. Then her Mom packs up her whole family and they move to a town called Lakeland. With Lilah not quite out of the black hole she's trying to over come only God knows what this drastic change will bring. Aiden has a troubled past. He can't catch any sleep in fear of his past memories recurring in his dreams. He's afraid he's becoming an insomniac and it infuriates him to no end that his life is so messed up because one of one person. He just wants to escape the hell hole he feels he's stuck in. Until he meets Lilah the first person who could rip off the heavy blanket he placed over his past years ago. Can Aiden and his friends save Lilah and can Lilah break through to Aiden, something neither of his friends could accomplish?? They have different reasons for being the way they are but they both know of one similarity they share and that is there anguished hearts.

one word can change everything. isn't it funny how all around the world , there are so many words with so many meanings we can hardly keep up. The same word can be said and have completely different effects, either because of the person saying it, the way it's being said , the tone, or even the look your being given while the words are being spoken, yet universally there's that one word that always means the same no matter the language, how its being said or who by, the tone or the look your being given, that one word that can stir so many emotions in you at once or just make you feel numb. It can make u feel strangely relieved, sad, angry, confused, heart broken, shocked and so many others all at the same time or it can make u feel hollow, empty, lost. Its a word that can bring an entire country, even the whole world to its knees when used on a mass spectrum. A word that broke my world apart; shattered the lenses on my somewhat rose tinted glasses of the world, that made me feel like my heart was being out of my chest; had a stake shoved through it, stomped on it, burnt it and then spilled the ashes into lava and made decorative pattens of the remains. Death. Its so simple but that one word can really screw you up and screw you over. Well there is one other word that can do similar things to you as the word death, its not one you expect but if you think about it enough, draw the lines in the similarities of the fallout after hearing these words. It really does make complete sense. Love Now That word can screw you over almost as much as the first but if you lucky in different ways, well i say if your lucky because i definitely wasn't.

Lilah grew up surrounded by friends, family, and trying to survive in nature. She's looking for her place in the world when she meets Daniel, a man knows who he is, what he's fighting for and where he's going- until he meets Lilah, who shows him a way of life and a love truly fighting for. A new girl to a big game, Lilah, is extremely intimated as she shows up to her first bout. (Even though it is just to watch and keep skaters under control.) She was recruited to substitute ref from her local roller rink by a couple of jocks on the Bomb Squad team. Aparently she had hung out there too much and they thought a change of scenery and style would be nice. She soon finds herself plucked from reffing by her sorta-kinda-maybe-perhaps friend and though she's tempted to skate right into the other direction of figure skating, she can't go too far before being called out on destruction of pack and cowardice. So, instead of sitting out, she faces the challenges of being a roller derby fanatic.
