Finding a decent apartment wasn't easy, especially when you looked sixteen, maybe seventeen on a good day. Five might have had the mind of an old man, but landlords weren't exactly lining up to hand him a lease. Lila, on the other hand, wasn't thrilled about living alone, especially now that she was single and pregnant. Not just because she wasn't used to it, but because, in her current condition, she wanted it even less. And let's be honest, who in their right mind would willingly sign up for a crying baby in a few months? So, moving in together was the logical solution. Strictly temporary, of course. With no powers and a rebooted world to navigate, they had to start somewhere. How hard could it be?

When Reginald Hargreeves marries his first son to a daughter from a poor family, and it works wonders--any more of the remaining families he hadn't adopted from back in 1999 come in contact with begs for fame, care, and above all else wealth--Reginald decides to do the same with one of the only children he could reasonably say he's proud of. "We only see each other at weddings and funerals," but they come together for a wedding rather than a funeral.
