One day, Riddle's father finally had enough of his wife's strictness and harshness, he and his wife got into a fight and he left shortly after that. He tried pursuading Riddle to go with him so he can no longer suffer under his mother's tyranny, but the boy refused. So his father took his younger sister instead.
