The Warblers claim that Dalton is already doing them a favor by letting girls in and they shouldn't be allowed to be in their prestigious Warbler community. Pissed off beyond recognition by those sexist pigs, she convinces her fresh from that little Ohio town roommate, Hallie Browning to pose as a male student and prove them wrong. There's just one problem, Hallie has never sang professionally in her life, and the other factor...she's a girl and hiding that will be harder than singing...most definitely.

This is a flash fiction piece I had to write for a fiction writing class. It is about a florist who does not realize he is dead, until a year after his death when he sees the woman he saved. Enjoy!

Sir Frederick of Aigredou is tasked to serve Princess Beatrice as her personal servant, a girl whom he was once friends with growing up in the castle. Drifted from Frederick's suppressed feelings about his parents' death, a drift continues to divide the pair as Princess Beatrice approaches her nineteenth birthday. Princess Beatrice and her parents have planned everything out for a spectacular ball, her older brother staying self-trapped in his royal chambers. Everything would go exactly as planned, overflowing gifts and excited chatter from everybody around. Until date strikes; Princess Beatrice collapses, her cup having a strange purple liquid... she'd been poisoned. Frederick is immediately tasked to stay by the princess' side, who now in a poison-induced coma. The only cure? A purple lily that could only be found in the rivaling kingdom, Veleen. Sir Frederick is torn. He trusted his fellow knights to find the flower, yes, but also knows that they can be incompetent at times. Dueled with the fact that Veleen is very hostile towards Aigredou, Frederick wonders if he should search for the flower himself or stay with his tasks. Would Beatrice forgive him, if so?
