Set in the 1960's Georgia, Eighteen-year-old Betty Smith lived with her two loving parents and her five-year-old brother, Steven. They loved each other more than words could account for, but on a late and cold November night The Smith's received the grim news that Eliot Smith, the father of the close knit family, was murdered. With grief in their hearts and no money in the bank they were forced to move to a lower part of town leaving their always green suburbia.
