While there, Lena meets her new trainer, Kara. The chemistry builds, but more is going on behind the scenes that will impact both their lives. Everything was over. Lex had been defeated. Alex and Kelly had a beautiful wedding. Kara revealed herself as Supergirl. Lena was able to regain control of L-Corp, yet Lena still felt like something was missing. It had been weeks since Lillian had died and no one had truly acknowledged it. Lena couldn't understand why she had such strong feelings about it. After all, Lillian had done nothing but lie and deceive her over and over again. Lillian was not even her real mother.

Kara Zor-el always felt...Wrong, in a way. When 'she'gets to high school, she finally figures out how to feel right. And what happens when a certain Brunette catches their eyes? They quickly become the blondes new favourite thing. Their Kryptonite.

This takes place after the end of Season 2. National City is still reeling from the Daxam invasion. A portal stands outside of the city proper, a chilling reminder of what befell them and what could happen again. Lena spends her days and nights at L-Corp trying to rebuild and working on a project she shares with no one. She avoids Kara, guilt heavy upon her shoulders for the part she played in placing trust in Rhea. This starts within a memory, within a dream, and reveals the hopes and dreams that make the child into the person they will one day be. There are no answers offered her, only questions. Long before Kara Danvers ever had the chance to grow up and even become her Super self, The DEO and it's sinister leader, Hank Henshaw took little Danvers from her own home when she was only 13 years old. They didn't accept Jeremiah's offer when he wanted to trade himself in for her, so they stole the young girl and she couldn't do anything about it. What is everyone's lives like now, over ten years later, without the Girl of Steel?

At first, Kara and Lena both keep their feelings hidden from each other, but it doesn't last long. Falling would be easy, but staying together would be difficult.

Lena is once again kidnapped by her mother. She escapes using her brain and out-smarting her mother.
