Conveniently, Dr. Tan also wants revenge: Dance Central and his son were stolen from his fingertips, doomed to endlessly roam the Time-Stream. When Jaryn and Kerith break-in to DCI Headquarters and send Boomie to where they believe Dr. Tan is located, Dr. Tan is able to return to the present-era. But help comes for a price... and that means both Dr. Tan and the Glitterati Twins are subject to each other's terms. Dr. Tan wants to renovate DCI Headquarters into a bar, and keep a tight rein on the dancers, while the Glitterati wants to abolish any other dance crew. Motivated by the share of a common enemy, Dr. Tan works on a program he affectionately calls Spotlight- designed to obliterate Dance Central forever.

Dr. Tan plans on conquering Dance Central and adding it to his successful dance company, Tan Industries. Before he does, however, he'll have to deal with opposition from DCI themselves- they're not going down without a fight. As both sides stand their ground, Lima and Rasa send their agents back in time in order to stop Tan from eradicating freestyle from dance forever by learning the moves and dance crazes of the past decades. This book branches from the original plot of the third game in the prized franchise and fills in any missing plot holes present. In it, the story additionally explains what happens after the infamous villain loses the battle he fought so hard for.
