Now the evil is to the point were it has eaten its way into people's hearts. They have slowly stopped believing in the Dragon People. In return, the Dragon People and the Dragon Riders have retreated to the deepest darkest parts of the earth, waiting for the day when their Dragon Rider returns.

This is what goes through your mind when you lose someone maybe not to death but you've lost them anyways. And this is a metaphor for that feeling. Short story.

There are some things the universe simply does not want to die. In a poor attempt to spare them, they are transported to a dimension you and I might call Limbo. All is not at peace in the grey landscape, though, as our focus is not alone.
