KARSALUNA
Five years, two months, thirteen days. Halim counts them every morning. Not because the number serves any purpose, but because ritual is the only thing he can still do without needing a reason.
At the Korona Hotel, Halim wipes the same bar every day. Pours the same arak. Keeps his distance from every guest who walks through the door. He stopped helping people cross the Marga River five years ago, after he let someone drown in its current. Since then, he has trusted neither the river nor himself.
Then, one morning, a stranger named Aron Vale walks into his hotel lobby. The way he stands, the seat he chooses, the way his eyes return to the door whenever a sound comes from outside-it all reminds Halim of someone he has not seen in a very long time.
That night, Halim takes something from his drawer. Something he has not touched in five years. And for the first time, he decides to return to the riverbank.
THE HOTEL is a story about guilt no current can wash away, a message five years too late, and one night when the past can no longer be left behind.
