In an endless, decaying labyrinth with no name and no exit, a girl wanders alone. She has forgotten who she was. She no longer remembers when she arrived. The world around her rots gently-walls peeling, ceilings sagging, rooms breathing in slow collapse-and she does not resist it. The decay feels familiar. Comforting. Like home. There are no monsters here. No voices. No salvation. Only peeling wallpaper, mold-soft floors, flickering lights, and a girl slowly dissolving into the place that has claimed her. Through fragmented diary-like chapters, her thoughts erode alongside the environment, until identity, memory, and self become indistinguishable from the ruins that surround her. Where Wallpaper Peels Like Skin is a quiet analog-horror descent into isolation, decay, and surrender-where the greatest horror is not what chases you, but what welcomes you.

What starts as another restless night quickly spirals into something far more surreal. After playing anxiety inducing music to help her sleep, she enters a dream unlike any other, a towering hotel room, an uncertain family dynamic, and an absurd reason for being hunted, refusing to walk in a straight line. With her mysterious companions and an unlikely ally in Bruno Mars, she flees through an endless, shifting mall, only to escape into a world that refuses to stay still. As the ground tilts and reality distorts, she finds herself running backward, desperate to undo whatever has gone wrong. But when she finally wakes, something still feels... off. Because the world keeps turning.

The SCP Foundation exists to secure, contain, and protect the anomalies that threaten reality. Most of them scream. Some of them bleed. Others rewrite the laws of the universe in obvious, violent ways. This one doesn't. SCP-005 is a key that opens anything. Not just doors - but boundaries, memories, systems, and ideas that were never meant to be accessed. Through fractured reports, personnel testimonies, civilian exposure, and an unsettling reader-insert perspective, Still Present explores what happens when containment doesn't fail loudly - but quietly, politely, and completely. Nothing explodes. Nothing escapes. And everything stays exactly where it shouldn't. You didn't open the file. You just kept reading. Reader discretion advised. Some things are more unsettling once you realize they were never locked at all. Volume I introduces Kai, a reluctant yet resolute figure drawn into the orbit of a force known only as The Wicked. Set against a shifting world of forests, rains that write or refuse names, and towns ready to forget, the story builds around the confrontation between human will and something older, stranger, and smiling at the rules of reality. Throughout the volume, Kai uncovers fragments of the Wicked's presence: splinters of iron, rituals carved into birch groves, storms that seem to listen, and silences that seem deliberate. The Wicked itself is never simply monster or god, but a double-edged figure-mocking, patient, always nudging the world toward a threshold it isn't sure it wants crossed. Kai resists not out of pure defiance but out of love, the kind that invests itself as both shield and debt. Their defiance crystallizes in the closing scenes: the birch-ring forest bends like a ritual chamber, an iron splinter promises both harm and sentence, and The Wicked smiles at Kai with the satisfaction of a test nearly passed. At the cliffhanger ending, The Wicked steps through impossible exits-sky, story, history-splitting one path into two bodies and futures. It names the next movement simply: "Chase." Kai, refusing submission, runs after it, propelled by love and a world that itself is on the verge of rewriting. The forest closes like a book with a bookmark at the very page the reader longs for next.

I can't tell you who I used to be. I don't even remember that myself. All I can recall are dark, empty, seemingly endless hallways. And every now and then being unable to control my own self. My body feeling numb and acting of it's accord. I never thought it'd end. And then it did. I wouldn't be at peace for too long though before I would forget things again. I don't know what else to say. There isn't much else to tell anyway. I don't know if I'll ever remember. I just want to forget what I did when I couldn't control myself.
