InkyHusky
Warning for mild language, character death/injury, mention of death and gun violence, intense feelings.
If you know the story of the musical Hamilton or the history of the U.S.'s first treasury secretary, you would know that Alexander Hamilton's oldest son, Philip, got himself into a duel and was shot and killed in the year 1801.
But what if Philip had been shot in modern America? What if today's medical advances had allowed Philip to live through the duel? What would happen next?
This fic has taken me a long time to write solely because of the ending.
The real life Alexander died in a duel like his son did, and the irony hurts. But it's difficult to imagine how the situation would have played out if Philip lived. Would Alexander still have gone into the duel? There are so many options. Why not pick your own as you read?
