Losing a person you love hurts. Feeling like it was you that made them leave in the first place, that's heartbreaking --------------------------------------------------------- "Isaac." The name slipped off my tongue like a prayer. "Missed me, Rosie?" Isaac was cocky when he spoke, almost smug and I had no idea how to react. Just seeing his face was disorienting, and my heart felt like it would fly out of my chest. "Who is this?" A voice rang out causing both Isaac and I to look at the person who spoke. Josh stood and the head of the table, eyes furrowed and lip curled in a way that I was very familiar with. My nerves were wrecked, but I still could not open my mouth to speak, I was in a state of shock. The situation definitely looked strange from Josh's point of view. He left me, his girlfriend, alone and came back to find her with a handsome stranger sitting very, very close. What made it worse was that no one had answered his question, so he repeated himself. Isaac stood, taking Josh's anger as his cue. He had a wolfish grin on his face as he clapped his hands together once. He began to walk backwards while saying a few parting words. "None of your concern my guy, But hey, thanks for keeping her warm for me." He sent me a quick wink before spinning around and exiting the diner that didn't seem all that charming anymore. Josh had focused his attention on me now, but mine was centered on the door that Isaac had walked through only moments ago. The only thought running through my mind repetitively was. What the hell is he doing back?
