At school, they ask you what you want to be when you grow up. And when you answer, “A Teacher!” or “A Zoologist!” They smile and pat your head. But what if you’re the only kid that says, “I want to be a spy!” Then what will the teacher say? “That isn’t reasonable, sweetheart.” If only that were true. At twelve years old, It might have been unreasonable. Really! If you’d asked me what my life was like, I might have answered that it wasn’t dramatic or sad. But comfortable and just enough. After my parents died, The answer might have been the same. Comfortable and just enough. Nothing groundbreaking, Nothing dangerous. If you’d asked me a year later, the answer might have been different. My parents were spies. Their death wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t even just. If you asked me now, I’d say that it’s not unreasonable or impossible. Not when you have a computer genius and an all around genius as your sisters. Not when you’re a spy yourself. Not when you need answers, and you’re willing to go as far as it takes to get them. Not when your brother is gone. When we found out our parents were spies that were murdered out of revenge, They said that that was all we needed to know. The case was closed. Finished. But we still had questions. We still needed to know the who, why’s and how’s. They told us to just accept it. Answers were not going to bring them back. But we aren’t stupid. They are. Because they picked the wrong family. The wrong people. Nothing is ever finished. Atleast…not until we say so.
