After three foster families in three months and a hard time at the shelter, they get put into their fourth foster home. Little do they know Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife Vanessa are determined to give them a better life. Liliana manages to find friends at school pretty early and seems to fit right in. Still, healing is a difficult process with new trouble being thrown at her all the time. Jonathan has a harder time. He tries to act like everything's okay, but only makes it worse by hiding his feelings until he threatens to drown in them. Still, settling in isn't easy for them after fighting to survive for 15 years.
