Sequel to The Twins. If you haven't already read The Twins, it might make more sense to read that first before reading this. The Twins have gone through rough patches, they've needed to survive alone. But now, they need to learn to cope with their new feelings when it comes to being around others. There are people who come to care about the two. There are people the two come to care about, as well. They need to come to terms with the fact that they are no longer alone.

Set after and during unlocked. Keefe is too scared to return to the elves, his mother could find him and hurt everyone he cares about, and he can't let that happen again, not with his new powers. As he leaves, secrets trail him and his friends search for him. Tam has felt horrible ever since Keefe left, he had never told Keefe consciously how he felt. But when Sophie sends Tam to the Shores of Solace, to see if Keefe left any clues, he is greeted by a small girl, who's face is covered. She has ice blue hair, and two small antlers, and seems about 6.

Sophie, Biana, Linh, Marela, Keefe, Tam, Dex, and Fitz are told to go on a mission to retrieve a stolen artifact from an ex-neverseen territory, but this artifact happens to be a piece of jewelry that amplifies the deepest desires and emotions of its wearer. The eight of them all must take turns wearing the necklace to make sure it doesn't corrupt, and they are all bunking in said creepy hideout, surely absolutely nothing bad is going to happen!
