The lionhead rabbit is a breed of rabbit first created in the 1980s. They are a crossbreed between a lop-eared and a Netherland dwarf. The first batch of lionheads was bred by Caryl Haskins in River Vale, New Jersey. Haskins is also credited for producing the popular American saddleback rabbit. Lionhead Rabbit's are renowned for their soft, plush fur.
