One day, when Fa Zhou (Mulan's father) decided to re-join the army to fight against the Huns, the two females decided to take his place by disguising themselves as males, in order to prevent him from getting killed in the battle. Joining the two are Mushu (a diminutive dragon who lost his position as a guardian) and Cri-Kee (a supposedly "lucky" cricket).
