hiraeth- deep longing for something irreversibly lost. It had been 3 years since Eleanor Swan had seen her little sister, Bella. 3 years since she had made the decision, at 18 years old, to run away from her irresponsible, unreliable mother. As well as the many problems that came from having a mother who didn't know how to take care of herself, let alone two kids. 3 years, since she had run away to the only place she knew she could hide in plain sight. New York City. It hadn't been easy. Nor had it gotten easier, which is why, when she got the call from a Dr. Cullen, that her sister was in the hospital in Forks Washington, she had been in a crappy motel and had been there for the past two months. And as afraid as she was to see her family again, she knew she had to be there for her sister. She had let her down so much, and this may be her only chance to try and make up for it.
