A pale hand reached out to the man through the dense morning fog. Intrigued by this sudden appearance, he couldn't help but lean closer to the water. To his immense surprise, he found the most beautiful woman he'd ever laid eyes on staring up at him. She was the proud possessor of lush golden hair, full lips, and sea-green eyes. She smiled seductively up at him, and then, as if spurred by the look of incredulity on the man's weathered face, began to sing. Drowning in the haunting tune of her ethereal voice, he was suddenly overcome with a burning desire to stay with her -- stay with her forever. He grasped the siren's slender, outstretched fingers, and climbed out of his boat into the shadowy depths, unaware of the ghastly horrors which his poor soul was fated to.

Rose breaks things off with Ed but as his love letters pour in she finds herself wanting him again. When tragedy strikes, Rose turns to Ed and he is unable to help her.
