The world of the Provinces is caged in by a structure so tall and large no one on the inside could hope to leave. Stories of magical creatures and potential capabilities beyond ones' control are said to lie outside of the walls. But who would care to leave the simplicity of their lives locked away by the walls? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Northern Province is famous for its yearly celebrations. One in particular, the Litha Ball, is held on the first day of summer, the Summer Solstice, and has a different theme each year. This year in particular is being held as a masquerade. While all the Province Leaders gather for a meeting, the wealthy and famous gather for a party unlike any other. Well... except for the Northern Province Leader's son. He would rather be anywhere else in the world than stuck at the same old boring ball forced to look for a potential spouse. That is, until an angel arrives and steals all his attention. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Western Province Leader's youngest daughter was supposed to be grounded, but the spunky little thing couldn't stand being held down. When she sneaks into the Litha Masquerade, she intends to have fun all the while avoiding her controlling parents. All she needs to do is be gone before midnight, when all of the masks are removed.
