13x featured wattpad story. Before everything, it's assumed there was nothing, but what if there was no real difference between the two? Just two extreme philosophies from the first conflict. The planet Huom has been under observation for longer than should technically be possible. The primary watcher, a bitter black hole, is excited to see that there is finally a proverbial Darkness at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile, on the planet, in the freezing mountains of Empris, Lyeasrakardsul, the oldest living sorcerer, suffers from devastating nightmares. At the same time, far away in the sandstone desert of Zenon, Herschel, a man filled to the brim with weird ideas is escaping a prison filled with strange old men. What does all this have to do with arsehole Gods, hairy Dwarfs, frustrated Afreets, curious Knomes, lizard-women, and nude Áettar? Perhaps Nothing, perhaps Everything... but why can't it be both?

A man who's always seen the world through an artistic lens, where boat railings are covered in vermilion paint under cotton candy clouds, would like nothing more than to get validation from the son who's always thought his father was crazy. What if he isn't crazy at all? What if faeries are real? What if pixies did steal his shoes? Sometimes fathers and sons have lenses that will never be focused the same. Like most of my stories, this one has a surprise ending that makes people say, "Wait! What's next?! Give me more!" If you want more after you read it, you better tell me! :) ********** This is a short story I wrote for a series of shorts I am putting together for a community education course that I hope to teach one day (maybe in retirement to keep me from going stir-crazy, though that's still quite a ways a way). I've receive so much good feedback, that I have decided to turn this short into a novel. I wrote 60+ words for in November of 2019 for NaNoWriMo and am hoping to be done writing and editing it mid-2020 so I can query it to agents. All Rights Reserved. This is a copyrighted work. From @InspiritusPress & the @LiteraryFiction Network, a collection of experimental poetry, prose, photography by 15 brilliant contributors. The body is the sole mediator between man and universe, the moment between birth and death. Sometimes, there may be unity, love, transcendence and liberation. Other times, separation, lunacy, limitation, atrophy, violence. In this visionary anthology, the physical body and its relationships are celebrated, examined, distorted, degraded, dissected, exposed. Gritty and grotesque, surreal and transcendental, curated selections from acclaimed and established authors, emerging student writers, local Torontonians or Literary Fiction Network contributors: B.W. Powe, Takatsu, Evan J. Hoskins, N.J. Greenfield, Aaron Capelli, Daven Sharma, Thomas Arthur Farrell, Sierra Marilyn Riley, Skyler Clarke, C.J. Garrett, Deniz Sonkan, Colette Thomas, Nikita Shorikov, Aaron L. Sheng, Mae Claudette Costan

PRIDE'S CHILDREN, Book 1, is complete. ***** Finalist for 2016 Wishing Shelf Independent Book Awards (UK)***** If you start reading on Wattpad, and would CONSIDER writing a review on Amazon (purchase not required, PM me for an electronic REVIEW Copy). The review is up to you - I won't nag. [It is published, on Amazon in Kindle Select, as of Oct. 30, 2015. The requirements for KDP are that the story not be available anywhere else, so I have taken all but 10% off Wattpad, where it had a great run. It is available in print as well.] If you like the sample here, let me know - all comments welcome. ***** WHAT YOU DO WITH AN OBSESSION COUNTS "I, KARENNA ELIZABETH Ashe, being of sound mind, do... But that's it, isn't it? Being here proves I am not of sound mind..." So begins Book 1 of the Pride's Children trilogy: Kary immediately regrets the misplaced sense of noblesse oblige which compels her to appear, live on national television-at exorbitant personal cost. What she cannot anticipate is an entanglement with Hollywood that destroys her carefully-constructed solitudinarian life. A contemporary mainstream love story, in the epic tradition of Jane Eyre, and Dorothy L. Sayers' four-novel bond between Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane, Pride's Children starts with a very public chance encounter, and eventually stretches over three separate continents. ~ ~ ~ The complete blurb is on Amazon: http://amzn.com/B017AZLTLG http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B017AZLTLG ~ ~ ~ RATING: Sexual innuendo, mild swearing, occasional non-graphic violence (PG-13).
