This fanfiction was very heavily inspired by the Bokuaka fanfiction, "In Another Life" by littleluxray on AO3. By no means do I own this story. This is just for "fun" and a different spin on this story with a different set of characters.

Hi! I am a reader of Little Luxray's "In Another Life" fanfiction. The story is a masterpiece. However, the ending was too much for me to bear. I can never imagine Bokuto suffering from those things and I can't leave Akaashi hanging down by the thread either. That's why I created an alternative ending. I have no intention to harm the above mentioned writer nor their works, I just want to give it an ending I think the characters deserve. This also helped me recover from the pain I suffered after reading the fanfic, so I hope, in anyway, it would heal yours too. Thank you for reading my story. P.S cover artwork is from Akiruk.

This is kinda like a part two for「In another life」 In which akaashi wakes up in a world where bokuto is still alive, and silently watches him fall for someone else. Reminder :) This is not my work, I'm simply reposting it, with credit to the original author, to make it easier for people to find <3

After reading "In Another Life" by LittleLuxray on ao3, I was so sad about the ending, that I asked myself "What if it was all only a dream?" and that's how this headcanon has born! The original story has an ending that made all of us readers cry, and if I go and re-read it I'll cry again and again, it hurts but it's beautiful story, but the fact that there was not even a kiss still tormented me. I'm weak to sad stories, every sad ending will follow and hurt me for the rest of my life, so I tried to give at the story an happy ending with this headcanon, I hope this can heal your wounds too. It's also a way for me to show my appreciation of the original story to the author, LittleLuxray! By the way, English is not my first language, so there could be some grammar error, I'm sorry for that, please spare me and comment the correction so I can change it to the right. I think I said all I wanted to say, hope you enjoy the lecture!
