Have you ever liked someone so much that every second of the day, all you could think about is them? I've never had real crush before because it never occurred to me. Mostly because majority of the boys in my school are jerks and I have my own priorities to focus on. But all that changed this year.

I'm not going to write the POV though, because I'm pretty sure you guys can figure it out.

Caleb Townsend has always hated Savannah Mayfield. Working on the Mayfield Estate, Caleb thinks she's just a small town pampered Princess... beautiful and rich, she's just too sweetly Southern for Caleb's liking. But then, things start to shift. Maybe Caleb had Savannah all wrong. Maybe she wasn't the Princess he always thought she was. Maybe he's even falling for her... one little moment at a time. A short story inspired by the song Little Moments by Brad Paisley.

Inspired by something that actually happened when I was a kid - found a really cool caterpillar on a tree at a Boy Scouts event, another kid snatched it off my finger, threw it to the ground and stomped on it. Kid yelled at me that it was a biting caterpillar and would've stung me (it wasn't. It was a wooly bear).

We can't really force people to love us the way we want them to, can we?

Chapter one Everyone has ever experienced little moments in life, that are not big memories, but they hit different and might stay in your mind for a long time. For example, when you wake up on a rainy day and it's not a big thing, but it has it's own good vibe. When you go for a walk alone in the woods to clear your mind, you can feel the breeze gently touching your skin, blowing your hair, making the leafes dance. And if you listen closely you can hear the trees whispering, the birds chirping and some smaller animals moving among the ground. _ Hi, im Oti and in this "story" im gonna write down all of my little moments, because they are too beautiful to just forget. _ I love the stars. They are millions of kilometres far away, but it feels like they are close enough to touch them. Just imagine that if you could stretch out your arm and the stars would fall into your hands. And you could give them to the people you love as a gift. Well my moment is when me and the person i loved went out late at night to watch the stars. We sat down in the grass, my head was on her thighs and she looked down at me with the most warming smile ever. We didnt talked much, but we appreciated each other and in that moment i felt so safe.

Written about 2 years ago on a whim at 6AM. I'd like to say there was a deeper meaning or some greater inspiration at work here, about bonding with nature and appreciating and respecting it.

My highschool years flew by and my biggest regret is not cherishing the late night talks with my best friends, the hard sets at training, the beautiful sunsets or braais with my family. The little moments in life. The rain falling from the sky, the stars on a clear night, the laughs with my brother. But everything happens for a reason, right? I believe that's why I came here and met them. My best friends, my family. And him.
