In the modern life of Raegan Ray everything was in place, the girl had rules for everything. In fact, her grandmother made her a handwritten book with all the rules she has to follow religiously. ⠀⠀⠀ 1)No going out after 8 p.m - because the wolves are out at night. 2)No drinking, smoking or taking anything that could make you lose consciousness. 3)No talking with strangers. 4)Always wear red and have silver at you. 5)Train with your dad. 6)Practice archery with Teagan. 7)Take the tea I'm making you before going to bed. ⠀ 8)Not allowed in the woods. 9)Always pray three times in the morning.⠀⠀ 10)Take baths and use basil every night. ⠀ Those were the first ten rules, some of the most important ones Raegan had to follow every day without any questions. She always thought her grandmother was mad and since her father barely stopped at their house, Raegan and Teagan had to take care of the older woman. It was never easy and Raegan was almost always frustrated with the woman - she was 19, she wanted to go out and party and be able to have friends but she barely had those. She felt like she was locked up her whole life and truth be told, she was. ⠀ Her grandmother wanted her safe, away from the wood's dangers such as a certain black-eyed wolf who was living in the forest now. A certain shapeshifter that was the thing the Ray family was hunting for centuries. Raegan was born a hunter - even if she liked it or not. Every night for the past 2 decades or so a villager has been getting killed off, one by one by a monster that the townsmen has dubbed with the name "The Big Bad Wolf". This story follows Rose Rider, or Red as her granny likes to call her, who so badly wants to go out and meet the other villagers and explore but her granny keeps her locked up in their cottage in the woods all day. In fear that the Big Bad Wolf may get her. But what they both don't know is that anything can happen in this magical little place and the wolf may be closer than they think. As the story progresses Rose finds out that even in tiny little villages, everyone has a secret. Now this is no cliché, not by any means ! But it is quite possible that the wolf is hiding out as a villager. Maybe even right under their very noses.

once upon a time in a town called Storybook, lived a now lonely wolf that goes by the name of Ted. One wolf and a little girl are searching for something not so pleasant, but will stop at nothing to free Teds name of something not so clean itself! TW: -includes mention of murder! (Don't mind the cover photo! :/) This is my year 7 short story that I felt an urge to publish somewhere, so here it is. It's so bad so, my apologies. Yes it's a short story so there won't be a extensive amount of detail but here me out, I was in year 7. It was good enough then!
