The wolves used to periodically attack humans and some of the victims lost their lives. In addition to weaponry to defend themselves, the people would don enchanted clothing that would protect them from the wolves. Phoenix is a young girl who grew up without a mother, who was killed by wolves when Phoenix was only a toddler. She was given an enchanted crimson cape to wear whenever she left. the house. One year, during a very frightening encounter with a wolf, her cape is ripped and the magic leaves the garment forever. In order to re-enchant the cape, Phoenix must provide a sample of the blood of the thing she fears the most. In this case, Phoenix's greatest fear was a specific wolf that is believed to be the biggest of them all. The very essence of the term Big Bad Wolf. On her quest, Phoenix learns to face her fears. now, before you dismiss this and go on scrolling or flipping or whatever it is you do, this isn't your normal teen werewolf romance story...so it IS about werewolves, and it IS a romance story line, but it isn't all kissy-kissy ikky-ikky not to mention its also based off of a children's fairy tale... Something about that twinkle in his eye and the slight accent in his voice rung a bell. My mind flashed (as if it has a mind of its own hehe, get it? no...oh...okay) back to the first time I ventured out alone, it was on a particularly cold fall morning, the dew drops had frozen over crackling leaves and the squirrels were going high speed preparing. They often reminded me off teachers on the last few days of school, hair frizzy and a coffee mug in hand as they tried to heard all the students into their classrooms. I was strolling down the path, humming "Lips are Moving" by Meghan Trainor, and everything had been going well until I heard a slight whimper and noticed a clump of fur grayish brown caught on a nearby bush. My eyes had traveled beneath the bush to find a shivering heap of soft grey and brown fur, a wolf pup! I had realized with a gasp. Quickly looking around to check for any angry mama's, I remember sliding the blanket off the bead I was bringing to grandmother's and tucking it around the baby. And staying there until his shivering stopped. "well, that went" I had whispered smiling at the curled up form before me. Right then, I heard a grow. A bloodcurdling close grows. "Crap, spoke too soon" I turned slowly to see another wolf, this one considerably older, with the exact calculating stare the boy before me had given a second ago, and the exact hair, or would it be fur? and the EXACT same bright yellow eyes. But that was impossible, there's NO WAY I'm standing in front of some werewolf, I've just been reading WAY too many werewolf novels lately...right? enjoy! ^-^ - BeaBlue
