Starrie had always been known as a cheerful girl. She laughed easily, was easily fascinated by little things, and always had something to talk about even about things that others considered completely unimportant. To her, the world was a colourful place, and people were simple enough to understand. At least, that was what she believed. Until she grew up. Gradually, Starrie began to realise that a smile doesn't always mean happiness. Words don't always have just one meaning. Someone can love you and hurt you at the same time. Someone can be kind and cruel at the same time. And the more she observed people, the more things there were she couldn't understand. However, the biggest question was actually about herself. If everyone had always known her as the cheerful, kind, and easy-going Starrie then who was she when she stopped smiling? Perhaps the happiness she had always known wasn't entirely her own. Perhaps she was simply too good at being the person others expected her to be. And when small cracks began to appear in her self-image, Starrie had to face something far more difficult than understanding others...getting to know herself. How will she face those never ending thoughts? Those thoughts that will forever haunt her even how happy she is... PTH is split into four arcs, the characters this story is about weren't introduced in PTH until arc two, so here is a story about them taking place in arc one! The title of the story is based off the song "Then she Appeared" by XTC (totally recommend listening to it, it's a banger) The song reminds of of the relationship of the two characters in this story.
