this is a jeff the killer story with a bit of a twist I do not own any of the people in this book all rights go to there respective owners and stay creepy

This is played in real life, and when someone is killed/gets expelled from the ship, they just leave the room and cannot talk anymore with the other players. And nobody can read thoughts/do magic stuff. They can still vote even if they died or made leave the room, but they cannot talk to to other players. Those who die, do not know who the killer is. You'll find out who the killer is at the end of the story.
