There was one difference, though. Damian had a family. Yes, they were not great. Yes, they made him feel like an outsider in all but the best of times. But he had a family. Surely, they would miss him should he leave. Nico didn't have that anymore. He'd lost it. All of it. In what seemed like an instant. And the most difficult thing of all is trying to work through that, and possibly build up from the Hell he'd found himself in, again. Maybe they could do that together.
