Never filling the mold in which her mother wanted from her as a delicate maiden, she hides herself away from even the occasional maid that she sees. Preventing even more disappointment from her mother, she becomes know as the mute mistress by the staff and stuffs away all thoughts of escaping. Only allowing herself a reprieve from life by honing her skills and senses.

In Cadence's world what hurts her the most is not Cinis, the one that hates and tortures her ,because of a wonderful power she has, but her friends that have lied and betrayed her. Just how it began!

Her whole life she's been stuck in her tower of a castle away from everyone. Alexandria Song has spent from the day she was born in her castle locked away. If any man was to look at her they would fall madly, deeply,crazy in love with her and if she felt the same way... Well let's just say that once they kiss the man will die. Alexandria keeps her distance from everyone, even her own family. Especially her parents-who have tried to kill her multiple times- believe that she is a disgrace to the family and has locked her away in the tower of their castle. Alexandria thought that she would never be able to love or be touched by a man that she loved... that was until she met Blake, the dark haired stranger that happened to have snuck into her tower. But that's not even close to the strangest thing, the strange thing is that he doesn't seem affected by her curse. Blake tries to keep his distance from Alexandria. But he finds himself at her tower, wondering how he is supposed to tell her his big secret about how he isn't affected by her own curse.

She has no memory of her childhood, and lives under the guardianship of her mother, Rachel. Rachel has warned Taylor about the dangers going outside will bring, but Taylor still yearns for a sweet breath of freedom. When the handsome but extremely arrogant Peter shows up at her tower, claiming he has a plan to stop Bryan and find the cure Bryan has hidden, Taylor decides this is her chance to go into the big wide world. With the virus and old memories continually chasing them, Taylor and Peter realize this problem is more personal and big than they could have ever imagined.

Fight or flight. It's a decision we - as humans - make every, single day. Mostly, without realizing it. But occasionally, something happens that makes one really stop and think for a moment: do I want to stand my ground, or do I want to flee? For Scarlet, those 'occasional' moments are an everyday occurrence. Does she want to stay and fight her enemies, her captors, her corruptors? Or could she possibly want to (quite literally) fly away, flee, and leave all her problems behind? Only time will tell.
